Service Description

Never thrown on the wheel or are a beginner wanting to develop you throwing skills? Then this personalised six week course will cover everything you need to gain you the basic skills of throwing to continue onto intermediate level. At the beginning of this six week course we will assess your current throwing abilities allowing us to know what skills for you to work on and develop. From this, you will learn the basics of throwing on the wheel including: centring the clay and creating cylinders of even forms. We will then look to develop your skills and focussing on how to maintain consistent throwing. This will be personalised tuition for each individual and will build on skills learnt each week, allowing you to create a variety of different forms to give you a real grounding in working with clay on the potter's wheel. Booking on to our six week block teaching course gives you a discount of £60, rather than booking separately.
